Main Tasks:
The main tasks to be performed are the characterization of current passenger flows, data collection about user needs, analysis of demand for multimodal transport solutions and design of MaaS services, with a specific focus on safety, security and accessibility to transport infrastructures.
In particular, the project is based on the following activities:
Activity 1 aims to produce a detailed analysis of the
territorial context, based on services and facilities already in operation,
designed/under realisation and foreseen. This activity encompasses: analysis of
the functional structure of the Erzelli intermodal node, analysis of the
development of the district of Erzelli and analysis of passenger flows through
the node.
Activity 2 aims at the validation of the final design
of the monorail: the design of such an infrastructure is an iterative process
taking into account inter alia: technical constraints (topography,
geotechnical, alignment) as well as economic and environmental aspects. Thus,
this Activity concerns the monitoring and the validation of the final design by
the Partners and more particularly by the Municipality of Genoa
in its capacity as contracting authority for the design, construction and
management of the monorail.
This activity aims to assess the appropriate requirements for the delivery of combined mobility and MaaS-oriented functionalities. This activity includes: citizens and stakeholders survey, analysis of MaaS requirements and identification of related enabling technologies, feasibility study for the introduction of an electronic intermodal integrated ticketing system, design of a MaaS platform to provide information tools and services to passengers moving through the node and identification of the best ICT solutions to efficiently manage the monorail service.
Activity 4 aims to address safety/security and
accessibility issues of the whole intermodal node of Erzelli.
This activity encompasses the following tasks: study of innovative ICT
solutions for the automatic analysis of crowd flows through the different areas
of the node, identification of measures to ensure the accessibility of persons
with reduced mobility (PRM) in the intermodal node and for any transport mode
used and definition of the requirements to provide efficient cybersecurity
measures, in particular through crowdsourcing service.
Activity 5 aims to provide the guidelines for the
implementation and deployment of the new services previously identified and
designed.
The guidelines will include specific recommendations regarding: regulatory
environment and policies; cost-benefit analysis; operational plan.
The implementation of the new MaaS services
will be realised through a dedicated tender, or included in the tender for the
construction and/or operation of the monorail system.
This Activity covers the aspects related to the
technical and administrative management of the Action, under the direct
responsibility of the coordinator the Municipality of Genoa.
The Activity relates also to communication and dissemination measures,
according to the Communication Plan that will be defined at the beginning of
the project.
